Saffron Research Center
Where saffron buyers’ real questions are answered by experiment: each study states its question and hypothesis before measuring, its method precisely enough to repeat, puts all its data up for download — and says what it cannot tell.
How we work
Four rules of every study
A study published by a seller is worth something only if anyone can check it.
Question and hypothesis first
Before any measurement we write what we ask and what we expect, and don’t change it after seeing the data.
A method anyone can repeat
Samples, the control group, conditions, timing and lab (ISO 3632) are told precisely enough for someone else to repeat it.
All the data, open
Every value with its date and source in a CSV file; recompute the analysis (Welch’s t-test, intervals, trends) yourself.
Limitations stated
One batch, one lab, few samples: whatever a study cannot say is written beside its findings. Nothing is published unreviewed.
